[Descendants of the Sun] A visit to the filming sites of DOTS in Korea

Recently, there is a huge fever over the Korean Drama Descendants of the Sun aka DOTS all around Korea and in Asia. I was honoured to be part of the 2 days 1 night Descendant of the Sun tour in South Korea, it just feels like a dream come true!

Day 1

From Cheongyangni station (Exit 4), we  took an A-Train departing to Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do provinces. Being my first time on A train aka Arirang Train, it was an amazing experience as the design of the train is fantastic for tourist to take a glimpse of the breathtaking view while the train is moving.

Let's go!

Socket for charging!!!

[DOTS Filming Site 1]- Samtanart-mine, Jeongseon-gun
After alighting at Mindungsan Station, we took a shuttle and reached the first filming site of the Descendants of Sun- Samtanart-mine, Jeongseon-gun! YEAH!.

We headed to the restaurant for lunch and this is actually the restaurants where Song Hye Kyo and the rest of the crew had their meal.

You must be wondering what did we had for lunch right? Definitely, something related to the drama- Miner Lunch Box.

Do you know that you have to shake it before you open and eat it up? If you don't, make sure you do it before you eat!!!!!

\

Also, we had pizza and it was heavenly.

This is actually the spot where Song Hye Kyo had sat before

Over here, we had the opportunity to visit several filming spots and also had the chance to wear Yoo Si Jin's uniform! (Don't worry, the uniform had been washed!)

Look how huge this uniform is!
Thanks to the director, we were able to feel how the bed that Yoo Si Jin sat before was like.So comfy.

Remember this scene?

It is filmed here too!!!

We also visited another filiming sites which is just a short walking distance from the museum.

This is the director that I had been talking about

This is also a museum featuring many unique exhibits created by the director himself.

[DOTS Filming Site 2]Hanbo-mine

This is another interesting site, the place where Yoo Si Jin tied the shoelace of Dr Kang Mo Yeon.
We took a jeep and went through a tunnel. What we saw after which is unbelievably beautiful.

365 Safetown, Taebaek-si, Gangwondo Province
Thinking of theme park, entertainment and fun always come to people mind! Same goes to this theme park, the only differences that this is an educational theme park. There are several experimental activities that teach us how to deal with the situtation, in an event of a natural disaster. Something that is necessary for all, and it is definitely worth coming as you learn while having fun!

It was my first time doing CPR! I always though that it is easy, but it aint! Doing CPR requires a lot of strength to the point where I feels that my bones are breaking! But to save another person's life, you definitely have to do it right!

Dinner
Life just cant get better!  For Dinner was awesome, we ate the famous Korean Beef(hanwoo)!!!!!

Our restaurant was located beside a market

Accommodation
Accomodation was fantastic, we stayed in Kangwonland Hotel.

According to the tour guide, this is the only casino in Korea where Koreans are able to enter at a fee.

The room was fabulous!

Day 2

Breakfast
Breakfast was located at the 4th storey called The Grill, serving one of the best breakfast buffet I had ever ate in Korea!

Tour in High one Resort( Cable car ride)
Although winter will be the best season to visit the HIGH1 Ski Slope, still we had a great time taking a  cable car ride!

From Jeongseon-gun-> Seoul
It is time to say goodbye as we took a Mugunghwa from Jeongseon-gun to Seoul. With this, it marks the end of the short yet awesome two days one night DOTS Trip, definitely, will like the visit here again with my loved one!
